A work environment is classified as medium risk when the production processes or tasks performed involve exposure to moderate hazards. Those working in environments with a likelihood of exposure to hazards related to:
- Falls or slips.
- Exposure to machinery and plant.
- Contact with low hazard chemicals.
Below are the categories of companies classified as medium risk according to the ATECO 2007 code:
- Agriculture, forestry, logging, fishing and aquaculture (A, 01-02-03);
- Transport, logistics and storage (H, 49-50-51- 52-53);
- Public administration and defence. Compulsory social insurance (O, 84);
- Education (P, 85);
