Who are low-risk workers?

Low-risk workers are those employed in sectors where the activities carried out involve a minimum level of exposure to health and safety hazards or risk factors. These include, for example, office workers, workers in commerce, consultancy, information and communication services, business administration and management, as well as professionals working in technical or legal firms, but also bodyworkers, mechanics, mechatronics, etc.

In these environments, workers are normally exposed to minor physical risks, but specific training is still necessary to ensure adequate knowledge of safety and prevention practices. This also helps minimise indirect risks, such as those related to poor posture, prolonged use of video terminals or emergency situations that can also occur in the office.
